Recycling Projects

PLEASE BRING PADDLES, EYEGLASSES AND USED CELL PHONES TO THE
August 2011 KALAMAZOO DOUBLES TOURNAMENT!

Recycle your used picklball paddles Recycle Your Used Paddle! If you have a Pickle Paddle that is gathering dust please donate it! We will recycle it to youth and not-for-profit pickleball programs!

Gie the Gift of Sight

Give the Gift of Sight. Don't toss out your old glasses in a fit of un-cluttering exuberance. Instead, donate them to Give the Gift of Sight, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing free eye exams and used glasses to people in need around the world. To date more than 6 million people in the United States and abroad have received recycled eyeglasses.

Recycle eyeglasses, sunglasses and readers! They may be in any condition. Your donation will be repaired and recycled to those in need.

Make a difference!

Cell Phones for Soldiers

Cell Phones for Soldiers has turned old cell phones into more than 12 million minutes of prepaid calling cards for U.S. troops stationed overseas.

The phones are sent to ReCellular, which pays Cell Phones for Soldiers for each donated phone – enough to provide an hour of talk time to soldiers abroad.

Americans will replace an estimated 130 million cell phones this year, with the majority of phones either discarded or stuffed in a drawer. Most people don’t realize that the small sacrifice of donating their unwanted phones can have a tremendous benefit for a worthy cause like Cell Phones for Soldiers."

Cell Phones for Soldiers was founded by teenagers Robbie and Brittany Bergquist from Norwell, Mass., with $21 of their own money. Since then, the registered 501c3 non-profit organization has raised almost $2 million in donations and distributed more than 500,000 prepaid calling cards to soldiers serving overseas.
