Use a Flip Video camera at your event

Flip Viodeo CamcorderLights, camera, action! Flip Video!

This is a highly recommended gadget, Many of us have camcorders but don't often use them. Even though your existing camcorders seem simple to use and small - they are not nearly as convenient and spontaneous as a Flip.

A Flip recorder is truly a one button machine. Push on - push record and you are knee deep in documentary!

Even more excitement when you want to publish your movie. It's magic! Push a button and out pops a USB stub that you plug into your PC or laptop. Software automatically runs that will allow you to email clips (delivery done through the Flip website) or publish effortlessly to You Tube or your Facebook account. Burning a DVD is a bit more difficult and expensive - Flip wants a bounty on this service.

We routinely use a Flip to record our events. On the Media Coverage page we did a recap of the Soft Game workshop that we held 04-17-2020. You will see examples of the use of our Flip. We shot clips on a tripod and then uploaded them to You Tube. The You Tube clips were then embedded on the web page. Embedding a You Tube video is a simple copy and paste procedure but it does require some web/internet expertise.

A few tips on getting great shots! Don't hum to yourself while Filming! Watch the action through the viewfinder! Use a tripod whenever possible - Flip camcorders do not have any automatic stabilization.
Are there some limitations? Absolutely! There is no zoom. Sound quality is average. But the price is great (Flip's run up to a few hundred dollars but we power shopped ours on eBay for $76) and it fits in your pocket - always ready to go into action!
